EN(SE RES)SEMBLE is a multidisciplinary dance theater performance exploring gender identity — what it means to be a man or a woman today, and how social constructs shape our sense of self. Conceived and directed by Tatou Dede, the work moves between body and soul, speech and thought, investigating the fluid dynamics of gender through performance, image, and sound. The title plays on the French — “en se ressemble” echoing “on se ressemble” (we look alike) and “ensemble” (together) — suggesting that beneath our differences, we mirror one another. Interactive technologies, integrated sensors, video mapping, and original sound design are woven into the piece, creating an immersive theatrical landscape where identity is not defined, but questioned.
